China's L2 ADAS Gains UN Regulatory Approval, Accelerating Global Rollout

XPeng Motors Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng stated that China is leading globally in both L2-level advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) technologies and related regulatory frameworks. Recently, the United Nations adopted regulations on intelligent driving, with all provisions concerning L2-level systems fully approved. Starting this December, L2-level ADAS features such as NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) and NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) will be deployable and usable worldwide. Previously, only China and the United States had achieved large-scale deployment of L2-level ADAS, while most regions, including the European Union, had not yet followed suit. As a member of the UN committee responsible for drafting traffic regulations, XPeng Motors is continuously enhancing its capabilities in line with these new rules.
