Zhijie Auto’s Executive Director and Executive Vice President, Zhao Changjiang, recently revealed on social media that the company has recruited several top automotive talents, including Ferrari’s former chief designer. On July 3, while introducing the Zhijie V9 in a video, Zhao responded to netizens’ inquiries about the designer’s identity by saying, “I’ll tell you another day,” hinting that related information will be disclosed soon. Earlier rumors suggested that Juanma Lopez—formerly head of exterior design at Ferrari—had joined Zhijie. However, XPeng Motors has repeatedly clarified that Juanma remains with XPeng and will participate in the Chinese debut event for the XPeng MONA L03, presenting his first design since joining the company. To date, Zhijie has not officially confirmed the specific identity of the designer in question.
