M-Hero Unveils 917 and M817 at 2026 Shanghai International Low-Carbon Smart Mobility Expo

On July 2, 2026, the 2026 Shanghai International Low-Carbon Smart Mobility Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). M-Hero Auto showcased two of its models at Dongfeng Motor’s booth: the flagship M-Hero 917 and the newly launched luxury intelligent off-road SUV, the M-Hero M817. The M-Hero M817 officially went on sale on June 27, 2026, offering five trim levels—Mate, Mate+, Max, Max+, and Ultra—with an official manufacturer's suggested retail price ranging from RMB 299,900 to RMB 399,900. The vehicle is equipped with a 62.5 kWh CATL Off-Road Flagship Edition Xiaoyao super hybrid battery and a dedicated 2.0T hybrid engine. It delivers a CLTC pure-electric range of 301 km, a combined range of 1,450 km, and a fuel consumption of 6.99 L/100 km under low-battery conditions. Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, it supports 6C ultra-fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in under 10 minutes. In terms of intelligence, it integrates five Huawei Qiankun solutions: ADS 5 intelligent driving, HarmonyOS cockpit, Qiankun Cloud, Qiankun Vehicle Control, and WhaleFin communications. The M-Hero 917, China’s first luxury electric off-road vehicle, is available in both all-electric and extended-range variants, priced between RMB 637,700 and RMB 739,000. Built on the M-Hero Off-Road Architecture (MORA), it features M-Hero MEGA POWER drivetrain technology and the M All-Terrain System (M ATS), delivering high-performance off-road capability alongside low-carbon mobility characteristics. M-Hero Auto plans to develop three product lines going forward: the 917 series as the brand’s flagship, the M series—including the M817—targeting the mass market, and the upcoming X series.
