Gree Electric and Geely Holding Group Sign Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement

On July 3, Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman of Gree Electric Appliances, led a senior executive team to visit Geely’s Global Comprehensive Safety Center, where they were received by Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group. The two sides held discussions on topics including automotive safety system development, synergistic advancement of intelligent manufacturing, and digital ecosystem construction, and signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. Under the agreement, both parties will leverage trends in the automotive industry’s electrification, intelligence, and digital transformation. Combining Gree’s strengths in HVAC technology and intelligent manufacturing with Geely’s expertise in smart electric mobility and related services, they will collaborate in areas such as joint R&D of in-vehicle intelligent hardware, intelligent manufacturing supply chains, logistics and warehousing, industrial internet, user ecosystems, smart transportation, and home appliances. Following the signing ceremony, Dong Mingzhu presented Gree’s self-developed household grain threshers to representatives who had received Geely’s “Shufu Award” and “Brilliance Award.” During the visit, Dong and her delegation also toured Geely’s dummy laboratory, sled test lab, ADAS environmental simulation lab, and full-vehicle crash test facility, observing a live vehicle safety crash test. In April this year, Li Shufu had led a delegation to visit Gree Electric Appliances, where the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions. Li subsequently invited Dong Mingzhu to serve as Zeekr’s “Quality Experience Officer” for the Zeekr 009 Brilliance model, establishing an ongoing mechanism for product experience and technological innovation collaboration.
