Tesla Launches Autonomous Taxi Service in Miami

Tesla has launched its autonomous ride-hailing service, Robotaxi, in Miami, USA. The company announced via social media platform X that its self-driving taxis are now operational in Miami. This rollout is part of Tesla's broader effort to expand its autonomous mobility business. Tesla’s Robotaxi service is built on its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, a key component of the company’s strategic shift toward artificial intelligence and robotics. Previously, in June 2024, Tesla launched a driverless Robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, and plans to extend the service to Dallas and Houston later this year. Meanwhile, Tesla reported delivering 480,126 vehicles globally in the second quarter of 2024, a 25% year-over-year increase that significantly exceeded market expectations. The rebound in European sales was a major driver behind the strong delivery growth.
