Honda China reported terminal vehicle sales of 32,474 units in June, down 44.5% year-over-year. From January to June, cumulative sales totaled 205,818 units, a 34.7% decline compared to the same period last year. For fiscal year 2025 (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026), Honda recorded an operating loss of JPY 414.346 billion (approximately RMB 17.408 billion) and a net loss of JPY 423.941 billion (approximately RMB 17.811 billion), compared to a profit in the same period of the previous fiscal year. This marks Honda’s first-ever operating loss since its listing, primarily due to losses from its electric vehicle-related businesses. The company plans to return to profitability in fiscal year 2026, driven by strong performance in its motorcycle business and other measures.
