The Beijing Hyundai IONIQ V made its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24. The vehicle is available in eight exterior colors: Cyber Gold, Dimensional Purple, Gamma Green, Magnetic Gray, Photon White (solid paint), Photon White (matte paint), Flowing Light Silver, and Night Blade Black. Built on Hyundai’s dedicated E-GMP electric vehicle platform, the IONIQ V offers both all-electric and range-extended powertrain options and supports 800V high-voltage fast charging along with a high-efficiency electric drive system. The IONIQ V was originally developed by Beijing Hyundai’s China-based design team. Going forward, IONIQ-branded products and services launched in the Chinese market will adopt a planetary naming system. The vehicle measures 4,900 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,470 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. It features frameless doors and distinctive “Dimensional Star Track”-style taillights. In terms of intelligent technology, the IONIQ V integrates Momenta and Qualcomm’s flagship cockpit chips, CATL battery technology, and capabilities from Baidu’s ERNIE Bot large model and ByteDance’s Volcano Engine. The interior adopts a “Nebula Embrace” design theme, featuring a 27-inch ultra-slim 4K display, Nebula Ambient Lighting, and the “Cyber Eye” HUD head-up display system.
