On June 18, NIO rolled out a new version of its World Model, which was simultaneously upgraded by over 700,000 users—including those who purchased their vehicles as early as four years ago. Building upon the existing "World Model + closed-loop reinforcement learning" framework, this update introduces a supervised fine-tuning stage, establishing a three-tier training architecture. According to NIO's June Intelligent Driving Assistance Travel Report, within two weeks of the update's release, the mileage covered using urban Navigation on Pilot (NOP) increased by 65.4% compared to the previous period, and its share of total assisted-driving mileage nearly tripled compared to before the update.
