Volvo has announced it will roll out Apple Music to over 2 million eligible vehicles worldwide—both new and existing models—via over-the-air (OTA) updates. Supported models include the EX90, ES90, XC90, S90, V90, XC60, S60, V60, XC40, EX40, and EC40, covering many vehicles produced from 2020 onward. The upcoming all-new EX60 comes pre-installed with the Apple Music app, allowing users to access it directly on the center display immediately after starting the vehicle. The timing of the update rollout will vary by model and region. Once updated, users can enjoy ad-free access to over 100 million songs and radio stations in the car, using either the center touchscreen or voice commands. Users who aren’t already Apple Music subscribers can claim a three-month free trial through the Volvo Cars app. Additionally, newer models such as the EX60, EX90, and ES90 will support spatial audio technology, delivering an even more immersive, surround-sound listening experience.
