The new-generation Li Auto L6 has been revealed in its production form, with the rear end fully exposed without camouflage. The overall design carries over from the current model, featuring subtle updates such as a thicker full-width taillight and a relocated license plate recess. Battery capacity has increased from 36.8 kWh to 51 kWh. Due to the recent rebound in lithium carbonate prices, battery costs have risen by more than RMB 8,000. Additionally, automotive-grade memory prices have surged nearly RMB 4,000 per vehicle as global semiconductor production shifts toward AI applications. The cost of Qualcomm’s SA8797 chip is also expected to increase by over RMB 2,000. These three factors alone add up to a cost increase exceeding RMB 14,000, not including additional expenses from other configuration upgrades. The current Li Auto L6 starts at RMB 249,800.
