Xiaomi Auto plans to hold a technical launch event for its range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) model by the end of July, with the official market launch scheduled for mid-to-late August. According to disclosures, Xiaomi has already prepared over 10,000 units ready for immediate delivery upon launch. On June 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the proposed list for the 408th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products," which includes approval for Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. to add range-extended electric passenger vehicles to its product lineup. The production site is listed as No. 21 Huanjing Road, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area—home to Xiaomi’s Beijing car manufacturing plant. The REEV model, internally codenamed “Kunlun N3,” is expected to be positioned under Xiaomi’s newly established independent sub-brand “Xuntian” (SKYNOMAD). Originally slated for launch in the second half of 2026, the model has now been brought forward to this year. Previously leaked spy photos revealed that the vehicle features a retractable roof, which, when raised, transforms the car into a recreational vehicle (RV)-like space.
