DENZA has announced that its two-door, four-seat all-electric sports car, the DENZA Z, will officially launch on July 9. Designed under the leadership of Wolfgang Egger, Global Design Director at BYD, the vehicle embodies the "Pure Emotion – Sculpted by Intuition" design language and will be offered in three variants: hardtop, soft-top convertible, and track edition. The soft-top convertible features a retractable fabric roof that stows neatly into the trunk without encroaching on cabin space. Breaking from the traditional two-seat layout of supercars, the DENZA Z offers seating for four. The interior is equipped with a digital instrument cluster and a floating square-shaped central touchscreen, alongside a wireless charging pad and physical control buttons in the center console. The hardtop variant measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,330 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,780 mm. Its near-2-meter width accommodates standard-fit carbon fiber roof, with optional lightweight and personalized components including a carbon fiber hood, electrically adjustable rear spoiler, and exclusive sport wheels. Aerodynamic elements such as air intakes, side skirts with aeroblades, and a rear diffuser enhance airflow efficiency. Combined with a flat-mounted Blade Battery, these features lower the vehicle’s center of gravity while preserving classic supercar proportions. The DENZA Z is the world’s first electric supercar to feature the Yi San Fang (Easy Triad) intelligent vehicle control platform. The soft-top convertible adopts a tri-motor all-wheel-drive architecture—featuring one front motor and two independent rear motors—delivering over 1,000 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2 seconds. The dual rear motors enable independent torque vectoring, working in tandem with the Yun Nian-M intelligent magnetorheological suspension system to adjust damping in milliseconds. Additionally, independent rear-wheel steering technology reduces the turning radius to just 4.62 meters. Powered by BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, the all-electric DENZA Z achieves a CLTC-rated range exceeding 1,000 kilometers. Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, it supports ultra-fast charging—replenishing battery charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes under normal ambient temperatures.
