GAC Energy Technology Co., Ltd., GAC International, Brazilian charging infrastructure operator GreenV, and mobility platform 99 recently announced a strategic partnership aimed at deploying 242 fast-charging stations across Brazil by 2030 to accelerate the development of the country’s electric vehicle (EV) charging network. The partners will leverage their respective strengths in vehicle manufacturing, charging equipment supply, infrastructure operation, and mobility services to build an integrated ecosystem covering “vehicles–charging stations–grid–platform.” Under the agreement, GAC International will continue promoting its electric vehicle models in the Brazilian market, while GAC Energy will supply 60kW and 120kW fast-charging equipment and technical solutions, deploying charging infrastructure through its dealer network. GreenV will manage platform investment and station operations—having already deployed over 15,000 charging points in Brazil and currently operating more than 600 active charging units. Meanwhile, 99 will drive driver adoption of EVs through incentive programs and channel a stable user base into the charging network. As of February 2026, Brazil had a total of 21,060 public and semi-public charging stations, marking a 42% year-over-year increase. During the same period, the country’s plug-in vehicle fleet reached nearly 395,000 units, resulting in a vehicle-to-charger ratio of 18.7:1—highlighting a significant lag in charging infrastructure development relative to surging market demand.
