From January to June 2026, Chery Group sold a total of 475,238 new energy vehicles (NEVs), an increase of 32.3% year-on-year. In June alone, NEV sales reached 113,583 units, up 58.7% year-on-year. The group has now recorded three consecutive months with monthly NEV sales exceeding 100,000 units and has ranked among the top three in wholesale volume for three straight months. In terms of product portfolio, over 90% of the models launched in the first half of the year were NEVs, spanning a price range from RMB 50,000 to RMB 500,000. The all-new QQ3 has achieved monthly sales exceeding 10,000 units for three consecutive months. The iCAR V27 has maintained the top spot in monthly sales within the RMB 200,000-range extended-range SUV segment. The Zhijie V9 garnered over 18,000 firm orders within just 21 days of its launch. The Exeed EX7 entered the performance luxury market, while the Jaecoo G700 gained recognition in overseas premium markets. On the export front, Chery’s NEV exports surged by 164.9% year-on-year in the first half of 2026. From January to May 2026, the company sold 68,949 NEVs in the European market, a staggering 458.62% increase year-on-year—meaning that for every two Chery vehicles sold in Europe, one was a new energy model. Meanwhile, Chery has established a comprehensive carbon-reduction system covering the entire lifecycle of NEVs, encompassing raw materials, manufacturing, usage, and recycling. At the materials stage, the company employs a “100% recycled aluminum, heat-treatment-free, integrated die-casting” process, which reduces carbon emissions by approximately 80% compared to primary aluminum and cuts manufacturing-phase emissions by 97.5% versus conventional heat-treatment methods. This technology has already been applied to models such as the Star Era ES and ET, achieving significant vehicle weight reduction. In manufacturing, 52.77% of the electricity used at Chery’s vehicle production bases comes from renewable sources. The company has built seven green or zero-carbon factories and plans to expand this number to 25 by 2030. On battery technology, Chery’s Rhino Battery cells have already achieved an energy density of 400 Wh/kg and are advancing toward 600 Wh/kg. This enables vehicle ranges of up to 1,500 kilometers and a cycle life of 5,000 charges, enhancing energy efficiency and extending service life to reduce carbon emissions across the vehicle’s full lifecycle.
