On July 8, Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, announced on his personal Weibo account a new Xiaomi Auto series named "SkyNomad." In response to netizens' questions about the vehicle's launch date, Lei replied, "Coming soon." Earlier that same day, Xiaomi Auto officially posted: "SkyNomad. Sky. Nomad. A new name about space and life—just saying hello for now." The company has not yet revealed the Chinese name for this series. Previous rumors suggested it would be Xiaomi’s range-extended SUV, possibly named “Xun Tian” (Seeking the Sky) in Chinese, but the latest information indicates this may have changed. Additionally, reports indicate that Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. has registered WeChat Official Accounts, video channels, and Bilibili accounts under the name “Xiaomi Pengcheng,” corresponding to the English name SkyNomad. As of the time this information was compiled, these accounts had not published any content.
