Huawei Qiankun Clarifies Surge in Smart Driving Mileage After Network Disconnection

On July 8, 2026, in response to online discussions on social media regarding the observation that “the displayed intelligent driving mileage on webpages continued to increase even after internet disconnection,” Huawei Qiankun released a statement titled “Clarification on the Display of Qiankun Intelligent Driving Cumulative Assisted Driving Mileage.” The statement explained that both the “Qiankun Intelligent Driving Cumulative Assisted Driving Mileage” and the “Total Mileage of Vehicles Equipped with Qiankun Intelligent Driving” shown on its official website are generated from real-world driving data collected from all vehicles equipped with the Qiankun ADS system, and have undergone anonymized aggregation processing. User testing revealed that when the network was disconnected—without refreshing the page or closing the browser window—the mileage value on the webpage would continue scrolling for several to over ten seconds before gradually stopping. In response, Huawei Qiankun clarified that the front-end page fetches updated data from the backend every few seconds and uses continuous scrolling between data updates to smoothly visualize mileage growth, thereby avoiding display stuttering caused by network latency or performance fluctuations. If the network connection is interrupted, the page continues scrolling based on the last successfully retrieved data until the incremental buffer is exhausted, at which point it stops. Huawei Qiankun emphasized that all vehicle mileage data is captured in real time by chassis wheel-speed sensors, locally encrypted and cached before upload, and only anonymized data is aggregated and statistically processed in the cloud. The entire process incorporates multiple verification mechanisms, with no manual tampering or pre-set incremental channels, ensuring the authenticity and traceability of the underlying data. Industry experts noted that the front-end scrolling is purely a visual rendering effect, completely isolated from the actual statistical data module, and thus cannot influence the core values stored in the cloud. Since April 2026, Huawei Qiankun has publicly disclosed real-time assisted driving mileage data. As of early July 2026, the cumulative assisted driving mileage has exceeded 12.5 billion kilometers. The Qiankun ADS system has been deployed in nearly 1.9 million vehicles across 25 partner brands and more than 50 models. In 2026, the number of models scheduled for launch with Qiankun ADS is expected to surpass 80, spanning price ranges from RMB 150,000 to over RMB 1 million and covering various powertrain types, including battery electric, extended-range electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine vehicles. Additionally, June 2026 data shows that the monthly assisted driving mileage reached 880 million kilometers, with a total assisted driving duration of 14.36 million hours and a monthly active user rate of 94.3%. Starting July 1, 2026, the one-time purchase price for the Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS Max premium feature package reverted from the promotional price of RMB 32,000 to the standard price of RMB 36,000.
