Li Wenguang, President of Huawei's Intelligent Driving Solution Product Line, recently stated that the current intelligent driving industry suffers from exaggerated marketing claims, making it difficult for users to discern the true capabilities of different systems. He pointed out that some products claiming to offer "advanced intelligent driving" actually achieve only a few hundred to a few thousand kilometers of driverless operation, whereas genuine high-level autonomous driving should be measured by hundreds of thousands of kilometers without accidents—a significant gap between the two. Li believes much of today's promotion amounts to hype around concepts, and the industry remains far from achieving true high-level autonomous driving, with an objective bubble currently present. He predicts that in the future, there will be no standalone, single intelligent driving suppliers; after industry consolidation, only a handful of global leaders will remain. To survive, companies must either achieve full-stack vertical integration—spanning chips, systems, algorithms, and cloud services—or form deep partnerships with collaborators possessing full-stack capabilities to deliver vehicle-level intelligent empowerment.
