On July 9, Xiaomi officially teased its first SUV model, the Pengcheng SkyNomad, highlighting its "flexible large interior space." The vehicle features an SUV exterior combined with MPV-level cabin layout, with second- and third-row seats offering multiple configuration options to suit various usage scenarios such as a mobile workspace, café, or lounge. The interior can accommodate devices like TVs and gaming consoles, and some seats feature rotation capabilities. Built on Xiaomi’s new Kunlun architecture, the SkyNomad incorporates a flat floor and extended sliding rails to enable intelligent space reconfiguration. Lei Jun stated that the vehicle targets users seeking diverse lifestyle experiences—including civil servants, engineers, and entrepreneurs—balancing both professional and family needs. This month, Xiaomi will simultaneously launch two new products: the Pengcheng SkyNomad SUV and the REDMI Note 17 Pro.
