In June 2024, China exported 1.0378 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 75.1%, marking the first time monthly exports surpassed one million units. In the first half of 2024, China’s cumulative vehicle exports exceeded five million units, up 65.3% year-on-year. Since 2021, China's vehicle exports have grown steadily—from 2.015 million units in 2021 to 3.111 million in 2022, 4.91 million in 2023, and 5.895 million in 2024—with exports projected to reach 7.098 million units in 2025. This growth is primarily driven by the rapid development of China’s automotive industry, increased production capacity of new energy vehicles (NEVs), and expanded market access overseas.
