On July 7, the Brazilian Automobile Manufacturers Association released data showing that although vehicle sales in June 2026 totaled 272,474 units—a 0.8% month-on-month decline—and production reached 246,015 units, down 3% from the previous month, the association has revised its full-year outlook upward. Brazilian vehicle sales for 2026 are now projected to reach approximately 3 million units, an upward revision of about 9% from the previous forecast and a 12.1% increase compared to 2025, marking the highest level since 2014. Meanwhile, the production forecast for the year has been raised by around 2% to nearly 2.8 million units, representing a 5.8% year-on-year increase. In contrast, the export outlook has been lowered by 13.8% to approximately 462,000 units, a 12.8% decrease compared to 2025.
