DENZA, a premium brand under BYD, made the global debut of its new DENZA Z model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, unveiling three variants: the Coupe hardtop, the Spider convertible, and the Racing track-focused version. Prices start at £142,900 for the Coupe, £159,900 for the Spider, and £172,900 for the Racing edition. Reservations will open in the UK in October, with the first deliveries expected by year-end. All three variants are powered by a tri-motor electric drivetrain delivering a combined output of 1,604 horsepower and peak torque of 1,240 N·m. The hardtop accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.25 seconds and has a top speed of 300 km/h. The convertible achieves 0–100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and features an aerodynamic wind deflector. The track-focused Racing variant sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.96 seconds, reaches a top speed of 350 km/h, and includes upgraded brakes and track-optimized tires. Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, the DENZA Z is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, offering a CLTC-rated range exceeding 1,000 kilometers. It supports ultra-fast charging, capable of replenishing 60% of its battery capacity in just five minutes. All models come standard with the Yunride-M intelligent air suspension system, which allows adjustable ride height, and feature BYD’s proprietary steer-by-wire technology. The DENZA Z adopts a 2+2 seating layout, with an expandable trunk space. Additional features include power-closing doors, a premium audio system, smart digital key, and an AI-powered voice assistant.
