Some owners of the Changan Qiyuan A06 have reported that an oily film has formed inside the vehicle’s front windshield-mounted binocular camera, causing blurred images and severe glare at night, which impairs the normal operation of the intelligent driving assistance system. The issue primarily affects the high-end 2026 model year A06 630 Laser Series variants. As usage time increases, the oily film worsens, making it difficult for the system to recognize road markings and pedestrians. At night, headlights and streetlights cause significant glare, frequently disabling lane-keeping and navigation-assisted driving functions—and in some cases, triggering emergency braking even when no obstacles are present. According to the manufacturer’s investigation, the problem stems from trace amounts of lubricating oil on the plastic mounting bracket of the front windshield during production. As the vehicle heats up during driving, the oil volatilizes and condenses onto the inner surface of the camera lens, forming the oily film. Starting in May, the brand began offering free professional cleaning services at dealerships nationwide and has since optimized its production process to eliminate this defect in newer models. In response to owner concerns about potential damage from repeated disassembly and reinstallation, the manufacturer has pledged lifetime warranty coverage for all ADAS-related components and stated that, theoretically, the issue should not recur after proper cleaning. However, most owners report that alcohol wiping only provides temporary relief, with the oily film quickly reappearing. Additionally, secondary issues have arisen during the cleaning process, including broken cover clips, deformed plastic parts, steering wheel vibration, and abnormal noises from the housing.
