On July 11, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published the application details for the Denza Z9S all-electric sedan in the 409th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." The vehicle is positioned as a pure electric sedan and will be offered in two powertrain variants, both featuring a wheelbase of 3,025 mm, seating capacity for five passengers, and identical body dimensions of 5,090 mm in length and 1,980 mm in width. The low-power variant has a height of 1,510 mm, while the high-power version stands slightly lower at 1,490 mm. The low-power model has a curb weight of 2,250 kg and a gross vehicle weight of 2,700 kg. It is equipped with front 245/50R19 and rear 275/45R19 tires and powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor produced by BYD Auto (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd., delivering a peak power output of 320 kW and a rated power of 160 kW. It uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and achieves a top speed of 250 km/h. The high-power variant weighs 2,545 kg (curb) and 3,017 kg (gross), features upgraded tire sizes—front 245/45R20 and rear 275/40R20—and its motor produces a peak power of 370 kW and a rated power of 185 kW. Both variants come standard with a panoramic glass roof and an Event Data Recorder (EDR). Optional features include an electric rear spoiler, different exterior mirror designs, various door handle styles, and an onboard ETC device. The high-power version additionally offers optional wheel rim designs and brake calipers in different colors. The two models are differentiated by motor output, tire specifications, and body height, with the high-power variant emphasizing a sportier aesthetic through its lower ride height and larger wheels.
