On July 9, Mitsubishi Motors announced that it will mass-produce a humanoid robot co-developed with Highlander, a startup in which it has invested, with production expected to begin around 2027. The robot will initially be deployed in the company's own factories and may later be offered for external sale. Mass production will take place at a new production line built within unused space at its Kyoto plant, with a planned monthly capacity of 1,000 units.
