On July 11, the Aion RT achieved an energy consumption of just 8.571 kWh per 100 kilometers during a round-island highway efficiency challenge in Hainan, earning certification from Guinness World Records as the most energy-efficient mass-produced all-electric sedan on a high-speed loop route. Built on the AEP 3.0 pure electric platform, the vehicle is offered in two variants: the 520-km range version features a 55.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate "Cell-to-Pack" battery with a CLTC-rated energy consumption of 11.7 kWh/100 km, while the 650-km range version uses a 68.1 kWh battery and has a CLTC-rated consumption of 11.9 kWh/100 km. Under specific conditions such as gentle urban driving, its energy consumption can drop as low as 11.1 kWh/100 km. The round-island test did not disclose detailed environmental parameters, including average speed, vehicle load, air conditioning settings, tire specifications, or regenerative braking configurations. The car features a fastback design, complemented by flush door handles, tinted windows, and blacked-out exterior mirrors.
