Maserati Design Chief: Screens Shouldn't Steal the Spotlight in Car Design

On July 10, Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati, stated in an interview that screens are "not the main character of a car." He explained that while cars need screens to avoid an excess of physical buttons, they should not dominate the interior. Maserati positions its screens lower down, allowing drivers to naturally reach them without strain, and avoids placing screens high up on the center console to minimize visual distraction. Busse emphasized that the design goal is to keep drivers focused on the road, with hands firmly on the steering wheel and fully engaged in the driving experience.
