On July 11, Li Auto unveiled a new exterior color option, "Wind Letter Purple," for its next-generation L6 and announced that the vehicle will make its official debut on July 16. Previously, the company had released images of the "Dune Yellow" paint and the cabin interior. The new model measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,735 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm—identical to the current version. Powertrain-wise, it continues to use a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender, with the engine delivering a maximum output of 113 kW. Battery capacity has been increased from 36.8 kWh to 51 kWh. The interior layout largely carries over the existing design, featuring a single-spanning horizontal display across the center console and front passenger area. The wireless phone charging pad has been relocated lower, and ambient lighting has been added to areas such as the door panels. Due to rising prices of memory chips and lithium carbonate, the new model’s battery costs have increased by over RMB 8,000, memory component costs by nearly RMB 4,000, and the Qualcomm 8797 chip alone adds more than RMB 2,000 in cost. Combined, these three factors raise the vehicle’s total per-unit cost by over RMB 14,000, excluding additional expenses from other configuration upgrades.
