The all-new BYD Tang EV has appeared in the latest MIIT vehicle registration catalog. The vehicle features BYD’s family design language, retaining the iconic “Dragon Whiskers” front-end styling and a full-width taillight assembly that forms a Chinese knot pattern. It measures 5,045 mm long, 1,980 mm wide, and 1,760 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm and both front and rear track widths of 1,700 mm. Wheel options include 20-inch and 21-inch rims. Available optional features include LiDAR, two-tone body paint, fixed or electric running boards, while a panoramic sunroof is standard. The vehicle will be offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations. Powering the registered variant is a single motor delivering a maximum output of 300 kW and a top speed of 250 km/h. It is expected to be equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, supporting ultra-fast charging and extended range. The estimated price range is around RMB 200,000.
