Xiaomi Auto recently responded to online rumors regarding the market pricing of its first extended-range SUV series, "Pengcheng," stating that some reported prices are inconsistent with the vehicle's cost structure and urging the public to approach such speculation rationally. The Pengcheng series will be offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, emphasizing a highly flexible and spacious interior. It forms a parallel product line alongside the SU7 and YU7 models, with the former focusing on driving dynamics and the latter targeting family-oriented mobility needs. Xiaomi Auto noted that the official pricing will be announced at the formal launch event and highlighted that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has already published the full set of specifications and configurations for the Pengcheng, enabling consumers to objectively assess the vehicle’s manufacturing costs. The company reminded the public to rely solely on information released through official channels, cautioning that unofficial leaks should only be treated as reference and that price predictions significantly deviating from fundamental automotive production costs should not be trusted. Currently, preparations for the launch and market release of the entire Pengcheng series are progressing steadily, with the exact launch date to be announced separately.
