Changan Qiyuan Q06 to Launch on July 15 with BEV and Range-Extended Options

Changan Qiyuan’s all-new mid-to-large SUV, the Q06, will make its official debut in Shanghai on July 15. The vehicle features a five-seat layout and will be offered in both battery-electric and extended-range electric variants. Exterior-wise, the Q06 adopts the brand’s signature “Fuguang Aesthetics” design language, featuring a closed-off front grille, a full-width illuminated light bar, and an illuminated brand logo. The side profile showcases smooth lines, semi-recessed door handles, concave door surfaces, and black wheel arch cladding. At the rear, full-width taillights echo the front headlights, complemented by a diffuser-style lower bumper. Inside, the cabin emphasizes minimalist comfort, equipped with a large central touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display (HUD). Physical buttons are retained below the central screen for easy blind operation, alongside a cup holder with stoppers and a wireless smartphone charging pad. In terms of powertrain, the battery-electric version will be available in single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor variants deliver outputs of 225 kW and 245 kW respectively, while the dual-motor setup produces a combined output of 330 kW. Under CLTC conditions, the EV offers five range options: 540 km, 570 km, 610 km, 670 km, and 700 km. Specific details for the extended-range variant have not yet been disclosed.
