The first test vehicle of Xiaomi Pengcheng officially hit the road for on-road testing on October 12, 2023. As of June 30, 2024, the testing program has spanned 626 days, covering two winters and two summers, with a total of 566 test vehicles deployed and an accumulated real-world testing distance of 4.28 million kilometers. The Xiaomi Pengcheng series and the Xiaomi SU7/YU7 series represent two parallel product lines. The Pengcheng series is positioned as a "smart, spacious SUV with adaptable interior space," while the SU7/YU7 series is positioned as a "driver’s car." The Pengcheng features a large-body design, emphasizing a roomy and flexible cabin layout, and has undergone targeted tuning in areas such as suspension feel and steering feedback. The vehicle is currently open for reservation inquiries, and its official launch and market release are underway.
