The Red Bull RB17 made its first public dynamic debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Initially unveiled in static form in 2024 and spearheaded by F1 designer Adrian Newey, the car carries an official price tag of approximately RMB 45.4 million (around $6.3 million USD), with global production strictly limited to 50 units, exclusively available to experienced track-focused customers. Built around a full carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, the RB17 weighs under 900 kg and delivers a power-to-weight ratio on par with Formula 1 cars, enabling a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. It is positioned as a pure track-only vehicle engineered to achieve lap times approaching those of contemporary F1 machinery. Power comes from a Cosworth 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine with a redline of 15,000 rpm, producing 1,000 horsepower, complemented by a hybrid electric motor generating approximately 200 horsepower. This results in a combined system output exceeding 1,200 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a carbon-fiber six-speed sequential gearbox. Reverse gear is handled independently by the electric motor. The car features no modifications for road use, and its high-revving engine produces a notably intense exhaust note during operation.
