The 2027 GAC Aion AION RT will officially launch on August 10. In real-world testing, the vehicle achieved an energy consumption of 8.571 kWh/100 km, earning it a Guinness World Records title for "Lowest Energy Consumption by a Mass-Produced Vehicle on a Full Circuit of Hainan Island." The new model retains the overall design of the current version, with minor updates to certain details—most notably adopting semi-recessed door handles to comply with regulatory requirements. Its dimensions are 4,865 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, 1,520 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Official details regarding specific configurations and pricing have not yet been released. For reference, the refreshed current-generation AION RT was launched in September 2023, with prices ranging from RMB 99,800 to RMB 123,800. Additionally, the battery-swappable variant, the RT Super, went on sale on April 8, 2024, featuring a battery-as-a-service model starting at RMB 88,800.
