Xiaomi Pengcheng SkyNomad N90 Spied Uncovered: Rear Doors Open Nearly 90°, Seen Side-by-Side with Aito M9

On July 13, a video showing an uncamouflaged Xiaomi Pengcheng SkyNomad N90 alongside the Aito M9 was released. The footage reveals that the SkyNomad N90 has a larger body size and a more boxy design compared to the Aito M9, with its rear doors opening to nearly a 90-degree angle for easier entry and exit. Previously, on July 10, Xiaomi filed four plug-in extended-range hybrid models under its Pengcheng series in the 409th batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products.” These include the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max Camping Edition (a plug-in extended-range hybrid cultural and lifestyle service vehicle), as well as the N70, N70 Max, and N90 Max (the latter three all classified as plug-in extended-range hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicles). According to Xiaomi Pengcheng’s official Weibo account, its first test vehicle officially hit the road on October 12, 2024. As of June 30, the company had accumulated 626 days of road testing—spanning two winters and two summers—with 566 test vehicles covering a total distance of 4.28 million kilometers.
