China's Green and Smart Product Exports Surge in First Half of 2026

In the first half of 2026, China's total exports rose by more than 10% year-on-year, marking the 11th consecutive quarter of growth. Exports of electronic components and computer parts both posted double-digit increases, collectively contributing 6.9 percentage points to overall export growth. Meanwhile, over 10,000 AI-integrated intelligent bionic robots were exported, reaching more than 90 countries and regions worldwide. In the green energy sector, exports of lithium-ion batteries and wind turbine generators grew by 37.6% and 35.6%, respectively. Among green mobility products, exports of electric vehicles, electric locomotives, electric motorcycles, and e-bicycles surged by 68.7%, 45.1%, and 31.5%, respectively. High-end equipment exports also showed strong momentum. Exports of specialized machinery, ships, and offshore engineering equipment reached RMB 540.24 billion and RMB 214.99 billion, up 24.4% and 19.9% year-on-year, respectively. From intelligent excavators and heavy-duty gas turbines to offshore platforms, Chinese-made equipment is now widely deployed in major projects around the world. Additionally, amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, global chemical supplies have tightened. Leveraging its comprehensive industrial system and full-chain supporting capabilities, China swiftly responded to sudden external demand. In the first half of the year, exports of basic organic chemicals and primary-form plastics rose by 25.1% and 35%, respectively, effectively ensuring stability in relevant industrial and supply chains.
