Xiaomi Auto Unveils Pengcheng N90’s 7-Seater Layout, Targeting Multi-Person Family Travel

On July 14, Xiaomi Auto disclosed detailed information about the seven-seat layout of its flagship SkyNomad Pengcheng series model, the N90, through official channels. The vehicle features a 2-2-3 seating configuration designed to meet the daily mobility needs of larger families—suitable for scenarios such as a nuclear family with both sets of parents, a two-child household traveling with grandparents and a nanny, and similar use cases. Drawing inspiration from the seating layout of the Buick GL8 seven-seater, the N90 adopts a dignified and refined exterior and interior design, while ensuring sufficient trunk space to accommodate luggage for all seven occupants, making it well-suited for business hospitality as well. As a range-extended SUV, incorporating a seven-seat layout presented certain technical challenges for the N90. The design prioritizes resolving the spatial conflict between passenger capacity and luggage storage, aiming to eliminate the need for users to rely on a second vehicle due to passenger or cargo requirements. The third-row seats avoid a cramped layout to ensure passenger comfort, and the cabin structure offers flexible adjustment capabilities to enhance overall practicality. Optimized around real-world family travel scenarios, the N90 strives to deliver a comfortable experience for every occupant, whether on short trips to visit relatives or extended road journeys.
