Great Wall Motor has released its unaudited profit forecast for the first half of 2026, expecting net profit attributable to owners of the parent company for the period from January to June 2026 to be between RMB 2.35 billion and RMB 2.6 billion, representing a year-over-year decline of 58.97% to 62.92%. Net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses is projected to range from RMB 1.5 billion to RMB 1.75 billion, down 51.14% to 58.12% compared to the same period last year. During the reporting period, the company’s sales volume and revenue increased year-over-year, primarily driven by expansion in overseas markets and higher sales of high-value models in the domestic market, which further strengthened the company's global brand capabilities. The significant year-over-year decline in net profit was mainly attributable to two factors: (1) the deferral of recognition of subsidy income related to overseas tax policies (RMB 2.274 billion was recognized in the same period last year), and (2) foreign exchange losses amounting to approximately RMB 266 million (unaudited) after offsetting gains from hedging instruments, resulting in a year-over-year reduction of approximately RMB 17.59 billion in foreign exchange gains (compared to RMB 14.93 billion in foreign exchange gains during the same period last year). This profit forecast is based on preliminary calculations and has not been audited or reviewed by certified public accountants. The final financial results will be subject to the company’s official 2026 interim financial report.
