On July 15, Changan Automobile’s Qiyuan brand officially unveiled the production version of its all-new all-electric SUV—the Qiyuan Q06. Built on Changan’s SDA Tianshu architecture, the Q06 is positioned as a dynamic and youthful SUV. It features a single-motor rear-wheel-drive layout with a maximum motor output of 245 kW and is expected to be equipped with an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform supporting 6C ultra-fast charging. The Qiyuan Q06 measures 4,837 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, and 1,670 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm. Its exterior design continues the brand’s “Fuguang Aesthetics” language, featuring a closed-off front grille and a full-width LED daytime running light strip, with the Qiyuan logo centered on the front fascia. The side profile showcases an upward-sweeping character line and concave door surfaces that enhance light-and-shadow depth. At the rear, a full-width pixelated taillight improves visual recognition. Mounted on the roof is a LiDAR unit, and the vehicle debuts Changan’s Tianshu Navigation Ultra system, offering end-to-end urban navigation capabilities. For chassis configuration, it adopts a rear-wheel-drive setup (note: despite initial references to dual motors, the vehicle actually uses a single-motor rear-drive system) with an aluminum-intensive front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension structure—both segment-first features. Inside, the cabin features a two-tone interior combining beige and purple. The center console houses a floating-style touchscreen display. The front passenger seat includes a leg rest and is expected to support a zero-gravity seating function, while the rear passengers are treated to an overhead screen.
