XPeng Motors has announced an extension of the warranty period for the front air suspension system on its XPeng X9 model to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. Covered components include the front air spring strut assembly, air supply unit, solenoid valve box for the air supply unit, and the air reservoir tank. This extended warranty remains valid regardless of changes in vehicle ownership. The move follows reports from some users experiencing air suspension failures when operating their vehicles under extreme conditions such as high temperatures. Symptoms included suspension system warnings and partial or full vehicle body sagging on one or both sides, rendering some vehicles unable to drive normally. Previously, affected owners raised concerns about these issues, and XPeng customer service explained that frequent manual or automatic adjustments of the air suspension height under high-temperature conditions could trigger the compressor’s thermal protection mechanism.
