At its Brand Day and MONA L03 Global Launch Event, XPeng announced that its overseas vehicle models now officially integrate Google Maps navigation services, making it the first automotive partner in the Asia-Pacific region to adopt Google Maps’ in-car SDK. This feature will debut on the MONA L03. Simultaneously, XPeng has comprehensively upgraded its overseas cabin operating system to XOS 6, rebuilding its voice interaction architecture to significantly enhance the natural conversation capabilities and intent understanding of its in-car voice assistant. The new system can recognize user emotions and needs, proactively recommending relevant services. XOS 6 initially supports cross-language recognition for multiple languages—including English, German, and French—enabling different passengers in the vehicle to interact with the voice assistant using their preferred language, thereby improving command recognition accuracy and execution reliability. Additionally, XPeng’s second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) foundation model for the physical world now uses a unified model across both Chinese and European markets, with accelerated efforts underway to adapt it for mass production in Europe. To address Europe’s complex right-of-way regulations and diverse road environments, XPeng’s Turing AI Driving System has specifically strengthened three key capabilities: strict adherence to pedestrian priority rules, accurate recognition of traffic signs across different countries, and comprehension of implicit traffic conventions—such as the “default yield-to-the-right” rule—in situations where signage is absent. The intelligent parking function has also been upgraded for European users, supporting nose-in entry, reverse exit, and customizable parking maneuvers. Leveraging a 3D OCC (Occupancy Network), it enables parking in complex environments, effectively handling typical European scenarios such as narrow parking spots in historic city centers and unmarked parking spaces.
