GAC Group, founded in 1997, has reached its 29th year of operation and has cumulatively delivered over 30 million vehicles. It took the company 20 years to achieve its first 10 million units, while the subsequent 20 million were accomplished in just nine years. To attain this scale, GAC has established a rigorous quality assurance system: every new vehicle undergoes a minimum 18-month validation cycle—spanning “two winters and one summer”—from project initiation to market launch, with a standard development cycle lasting 21 months. Testing standards cover extreme conditions such as “five highs, one mountain, and one dust environment.” Prior to launch, each model undergoes nearly 10,000 tests conducted by more than 500 engineers over thousands of days, accumulating an equivalent test mileage exceeding 13 million kilometers. In production, the body shop is equipped with over 600 industrial robots and an AI-powered vision inspection system, enabling lifetime traceability of data for critical fastening points. GAC also operates facilities including a full-vehicle wind tunnel laboratory, a southern proving ground, and the AION Intelligent Eco-Factory to support quality control. Additionally, GAC enhances user safety through technologies like the “Battery Armor” (Dan Ge Battery) and the “Stellar Guardian” safety system. In December 2025, the company will launch its “Triple Responsibility” service commitment, offering comprehensive coverage addressing key pain points in new energy vehicle ownership. On the market front, GAC received a nomination for China’s Quality Award in September 2025. In the 2024 annual automotive quality rankings, multiple GAC brands ranked among the top performers, and its vehicles have consistently maintained high residual values within their respective segments.
