On July 17, the Aito M9 EV underwent a live-streamed real-world range test on the Chengdu–Chongqing round-trip route without recharging, achieving a total distance of 630.6 kilometers with a range attainment rate of 88.1%. The test vehicle was the M9 Ultra five-seat all-wheel-drive electric version, which has an official CLTC-rated range of 715 kilometers. Test conditions included an outdoor peak temperature of 41°C, four adult passengers onboard, 50 kg of filming equipment, and the air conditioning set to a constant 24°C. No energy replenishment occurred during the entire journey, which lasted 7 hours and 36 minutes, with an average speed of approximately 83 km/h and a combined energy consumption of 17.8 kWh per 100 kilometers. Automotive reviewers noted that, given the vehicle’s near-5.3-meter length, curb weight approaching 3 metric tons, and continuous air conditioning use in high temperatures, this range performance and energy efficiency stand out among large all-electric SUVs in its class. They also stated that the live-streamed format throughout the test largely rules out the possibility of data manipulation.
