Buick Zhi Jing E7 Surpasses 20,000 Sales, Sets Record for Fastest EV Deliveries by a Joint Venture

Since its launch on April 22, the Buick Zhi Jing E7 has surpassed 20,000 units in sales, becoming the fastest-selling joint-venture new energy vehicle (NEV) to reach this milestone. It delivered over 10,000 units in its first month alone, setting a new record for delivery speed among joint-venture NEVs. With an official starting price of RMB 159,900 and an introductory offer price from RMB 154,900, the Zhi Jing E7 is available in three configurations: 1600 Full Spec, 1600 Ultra Spec, and 1600 Ultra Spec Turbo. In terms of design, the Zhi Jing E7 carries forward the "Flying Wing" styling language of the Zhi Jing SUV family, featuring a closed-off front fascia, split headlights, and semi-flush door handles. It measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,676 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. The cabin is equipped with four floating-layer seats offering multi-mode adjustments. The front passenger seat features an Eames-inspired zero-gravity recliner with three-level heating and ventilation functions. Additional amenities include a silver-ion fresh-keeping climate-controlled console box and a multifunctional second-row table. The intelligent driving system integrates 27 perception sensors and is powered by Momenta’s R6 large model based on reinforcement learning, supporting urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and multi-scenario automated parking. All variants are equipped with Buick’s “Zhenlong” plug-in hybrid Pro system, delivering 165 kW of motor power and supporting 6 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power output. The base and mid-trim models feature a 1.5L engine (72 kW) paired with Zhengli New Energy batteries, offering a CLTC all-electric range of 235 km and a combined range of 1,630 km. The top-trim model comes with a 1.5T engine (115 kW) mated to SVOLT (SAIC CATL) batteries, providing a CLTC all-electric range of 230 km and a combined range of 1,600 km.
