In its 261st installment of the "Online Q&A" series, Xiaomi Auto reminded vehicle owners to pay attention to driving safety in rainy conditions. The post noted that some shopping malls and residential underground parking garages use epoxy flooring, which becomes slippery when wet—reducing the friction coefficient, weakening tire grip, increasing braking distance, and making vehicles prone to skidding during turns. Drivers are advised to keep their speed below 10 km/h when entering such garages in the rain, avoid puddles, drive slowly and steadily, apply brakes gently, and steer smoothly—avoiding sudden braking or sharp turns. Owners of Xiaomi SU7 and YU7 models can activate the "Wet Road Mode," which delivers smoother power output and enhances driving stability. When driving on regular roads in rainy weather, drivers should reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, avoid abrupt maneuvers, and turn on the defogging function to ensure clear visibility. In the event of extreme weather conditions such as heavy rainstorms or typhoons that cause a vehicle to become stranded or flooded, Xiaomi Auto offers free roadside assistance. Additionally, vehicles that have been submerged in water for an extended period are eligible for complimentary inspections, and after repairs are completed, Xiaomi will provide free delivery back to the owner’s home.
