At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 (WAIC 2026), Galaxy General showcased real-world deployments of its general-purpose robot Galbot G1 and heavy-duty robot Galbot S1 across multiple scenarios. On-site, Galbot G1 successfully prepared breakfast, smoothly performing tasks such as toasting bread and pouring drinks under continuous disturbances, with seamless coordination between its dual arms. This capability is powered by the company’s self-developed embodied large model, “AstraBrain,” which employs an end-to-end closed-loop architecture inspired by the “brain–cerebellum–neural control” paradigm. This enables deep integration of multimodal perception, long-horizon task planning, and real-time action execution, endowing the robot with human-like cognitive reasoning to autonomously make decisions and operate in dynamic environments. In retail attendant scenarios, Galbot G1 leverages its dexterous hands and AstraBrain to achieve full-body, full-hand end-to-end control for tasks like picking items, delivering goods, and handing over packages. Based on this technology, Galaxy General has launched two commercial solutions: first, a humanoid-robot-powered smart pharmacy co-developed with partners, now deployed in over 100 instant retail warehouses across dozens of cities, offering 24/7 autonomous medicine retrieval, packaging, and dispatch; second, the “Galaxy Pod”—a city-scale embodied intelligent terminal centered on Galbot G1—already operational at more than 170 locations across over 40 Chinese cities, providing unmanned smart retail and urban services. Additionally, “Xiao Gai,” the hospitality robot previously featured on China Central Television’s Spring Festival Gala, demonstrated its walnut-spinning skill at the exhibition. Equipped with multimodal visual and auditory perception, Xiao Gai can recognize visitors’ identities and intentions, enabling natural conversation and human-like interaction. Its dexterous hand, driven by the DexNDM world model, performs fine in-hand manipulations—such as rubbing and flipping—without teleoperation. Meanwhile, the heavy-duty robot Galbot S1 focuses on industrial applications. In a logistics handling demo, S1 used only a vision-only system—without high-precision positioning fixtures—to achieve centimeter-level localization of randomly stacked boxes, autonomously depalletizing, transporting, and restacking them. Each of its dual arms supports a maximum payload of 50 kilograms. In a screw-driving task, S1 employed high-precision vision to identify tiny screws against complex backgrounds, accurately aligning with screw holes and completing insertion and tightening. Currently, Galbot S1 has achieved stable, round-the-clock operation for over three months on CATL production lines. Galaxy General has also established deep collaborations with automotive manufacturers and suppliers—including SAIC, BAIC, Bosch, and Hyundai—spanning fields such as new energy batteries and vehicle manufacturing, accelerating the large-scale adoption of embodied intelligence in smart manufacturing.
