Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Leaks Smart Electric Door Feature; Lei Jun Test Ride Video Surfaces

A video showing Lei Jun riding in the rear seat of the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 has been released. In the footage, the car door automatically opens as Lei approaches and closes immediately after he gets in—without any manual operation—suggesting the vehicle may feature intelligent electric doors. Previously, on July 10, Xiaomi filed four plug-in extended-range hybrid models under its Pengcheng series in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 409th batch of the “Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products.” The listed models include the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max Camping Edition (a plug-in extended-range hybrid cultural and lifestyle service vehicle), as well as the Xiaomi Pengcheng N70, N70 Max, and N90 Max (the latter three all classified as plug-in extended-range hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicles). Additionally, Xiaomi Pengcheng officially revealed that its first test vehicle hit the road on October 12, 2024. As of June 30, the company had conducted road testing for a total of 626 days—spanning two winters and two summers—with 566 test vehicles deployed and an accumulated real-world driving distance of 4.28 million kilometers.
