Zeekr 9X Forges Through 1.8-Meter Floodwaters

Recently, heavy rainfall has caused urban flooding in multiple regions. A Zeekr 9X owner drove through a severely flooded road section where the water level reached approximately 1.8 meters—about halfway up the vehicle’s windshield. Video footage shows the driver initially hesitating but, encouraged by passengers, proceeding slowly at around 15 km/h. Thanks to its relatively high curb weight, the vehicle minimized buoyancy effects, allowing the tires to maintain traction. Additionally, its fully electric drivetrain continued delivering power even after water entered the motor compartment, enabling the car to successfully cross the flooded area. However, such actions carry significant risks: if the vehicle stalls mid-flood, the high water level would greatly complicate evacuation. For safety, drivers are advised to detour or avoid driving through floodwaters of unknown depth.
