On July 20, the Aito M9 Ultra equipped with a 120 kWh battery completed a round-trip range test on the Chengdu–Chongqing Expressway under high ambient temperatures nearing 40°C. Throughout the test, the front-row automatic air conditioning was set to 24°C, while seat ventilation and driver-assistance features remained disabled. The route featured significant elevation changes, with an average speed of 81 km/h. The entire journey took 6 hours and 36 minutes, achieving an average energy consumption of 21.6 kWh per 100 km, corresponding to a CLTC range achievement rate of 75.5%. The vehicle’s official CLTC-rated range is 715 km, but it experienced notable range reduction under high-speed and high-temperature conditions. Notably, after both the displayed state of charge and the CLTC-estimated remaining range reached zero, the vehicle continued driving for over 30 km before completely shutting down—surpassing testers’ expectations by more than 20 km. Power delivery remained stable during mountainous sections when cruising steadily at 60–70 km/h. The test used a six-seat variant fitted with 22-inch wheels and without window sunshades, factors that also influenced range performance. The results indicate the vehicle has a reasonably ample emergency power reserve; however, its range diminishes significantly under high-speed and high-temperature conditions, necessitating advance planning for charging stops on long-distance trips.
