Stellantis Appoints New Heads for Jeep and Ram Brands

On July 20, Stellantis announced that Branden Coté will assume leadership of the Jeep brand effective August 3, succeeding Bob Broderdorf, who is taking a medical leave of absence following a cancer diagnosis. Broderdorf, a veteran Stellantis executive with prior roles at Fiat, Dodge, Chrysler, and Maserati, had taken the helm of Jeep earlier in 2025. Stellantis stated that upon his recovery and return to work, Broderdorf will transition to a new management role. Simultaneously, Matt VanDyke, a former Ford executive, has been appointed head of the Ram pickup truck brand. Both Coté and VanDyke will report to Tim Kuniskis, who previously served as CEO of Ram and now continues to oversee North American brands, marketing, and retail strategy. This leadership reshuffle is part of a series of initiatives spearheaded by Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa aimed at improving the company’s performance in the U.S. market. In recent years, Stellantis has faced declining sales in the United States. Although overall deliveries rose 5% year-over-year in the first half of this year—primarily driven by the Ram brand—Jeep’s performance has fallen short of expectations, despite the launch of a new hybrid version of the Cherokee, which has yet to significantly boost sales. Earlier this April, Filosa appointed Michael Orange, former national vice president of sales at Hyundai Motor America, as head of U.S. sales for Stellantis, replacing Jeff Kommor. Stellantis plans to invest approximately €60 billion (around $68 billion) by 2030 to launch 60 new models, with a strategic focus on four core brands: Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, and Fiat. The company also intends to introduce new compact and midsize pickups in North America and develop an all-new entry-level vehicle for the Dodge brand.
