Autonomous driving company Momenta announced that its Robotaxi has received road testing authorization for intelligent connected vehicles in Shenzhen and will soon begin on-road trials in the city. Shenzhen becomes the latest Chinese city where Momenta’s Robotaxi operations will be deployed, following Shanghai, Suzhou, and Wuxi. Its core strength lies in deep physical-world understanding—enabling comprehension of object properties, causal relationships in motion, and interaction possibilities—thereby enhancing the vehicle’s prediction and planning capabilities in complex environments. On July 8, 2026, the SAIC Volkswagen ID.ERA 9X became the world’s first mass-produced vehicle equipped with Momenta’s R7 model, marking the technology’s entry into large-scale vehicle deployment. To date, Momenta’s mass-production ADAS solutions have been installed in over 800,000 vehicles, spanning more than 70 delivered models, with定点 (design wins) exceeding 200 models across more than ten countries and regions.
